This exceptional 55-Year-Old whisky is a blend of Single Grain and Single Malt, both produced at the now-closed Lochside distillery. Lochside was unique in that it had both Pot Stills and Column Stills equipped in the distillery, which allowed them to produce both Single Malt and Single Grain. This blend has been left to mature without interference for 55 years in first fill sherry hogsheads, resulting in a truly special whisky.

Tasting Notes: Color: Dark Sherry Nose: Alpine meadow covered in spring flowers, crème brulee with muscovado sugar. Mint chocolate with gentle herbal notes. Palate: Rich, dark, dried fruits. Chocolate covered raisins, gentle spice with cinnamon. Rich piped tobacco and a hint of liquorice. Finish: Rich, nutty, spicy notes from an exceptional sherry cask. Luscious and enticing. Astoundingly fresh and vibrant for a whisky of such age.
