Glenfiddich, the world-renowned Single Malt Scotch Whisky, has unveiled its latest collection the Perpetual Collection exclusively for global travel retail and duty-free.
The Perpetual Collection is a range of whiskies that never stop moving, housed within Vats that have never been emptied. With each new fill, the whisky builds on the past, creating a unique flavor profile that is constantly evolving.
This is made possible by the Solera Vat process, a groundbreaking technique pioneered by Glenfiddich that adds layer upon layer of flavor to the whisky, while always retaining a portion of the original liquid. The Perpetual Collection embodies the spirit of innovation and boundary-pushing that has made Glenfiddich one of the most celebrated whisky brands in the world.
Glenfiddich, the world-renowned single malt Scotch whisky, has launched a collection of four exclusive expressions that are only available to purchase at global travel retail and duty-free shops.
Known as The Perpetual Collection, each expression is matured in Glenfiddich’s Solera Vat process, a pioneering technique that involves never emptying the vat completely, creating a continuous cycle of blending and maturation. The result is a range of whiskies that are ever-evolving, building on previous generations to create unique and complex flavors.
The range includes:
- VAT 01, a smooth and mellow single malt with sweet and spicy notes.
- VAT 02, a rich and complex expression that has been double-matured in oak and Spanish sherry casks.
- VAT 03, a full-bodied whisky that combines warm spice notes with hints of nutty marzipan and dark sherry oak, and
- VAT 04, the most distinguished expression in the collection, which has been aged in Oloroso sherry and bourbon casks for 18 years.
The Perpetual Collection is designed with travellers in mind, both in terms of the liquid and the design. The bottles feature a unique infinity symbol, representing the continuous motion of the Solera Vat process, making them the perfect gift or luxurious treat for those on the move.
The idea of never-ending motion is depicted throughout each package, symbolizing the dynamic nature of the Solera process. The design is embellished with contemporary artwork created by Berlin-based studio A N F, featuring generative art produced by coding. The outcome is a unique series of six 3D art pieces, which means customers will have a variety of designs to choose from.

To commemorate the launch of the collection, Glenfiddich pop-up retail spaces will also appear in select airport destinations, enhancing the travel experience. Travellers will have the opportunity to explore the collection through an immersive experience, from engaging with the collective artwork and tasting the liquid to enjoying the gifting station.
The collection will be globally launched from August 2022.
